Yes, I would like to subscribe to the 2024-25 series of virtual, confidential Presidents Forums from College Presidents for Civic Preparedness. I understand that the cost of participation for the year is $5,000.
See the schedule and topics for this year's forums below.
Confidential Forums Schedule
We have four dates and topics already on the calendar, with two others to be scheduled as emerging priorities and issues arise during the year:
- Tuesday, October 1, 2:00 - 3:30 p.m. ET: The Year So Far
A candid conversation with two member presidents who will lead a discussion of what’s gone well—and what hasn’t—during the first six weeks of the academic year, with the election looming and unrest related to the war in the Middle East likely to continue.
- Tuesday, December 3, 2:00 - 3:30 p.m. ET: What the Election Means for Higher Ed
Depending on November’s election outcomes, higher ed policy for the next four years may shift dramatically, and recent changes are already affecting campus discourse. C&S will bring in an expert to address this question, and will also reserve time for input from presidents about issues and concerns for 2025. - Wednesday, February 19, 2:00 - 3:30 p.m. ET: Going Deep
Two presidents discuss their work-in-progress to go beyond opt-in participation and actively connect with every undergraduate on campus to build civil discourse skills. - Wednesday, April 16, 2:00 - 3:30 p.m. ET: Engaging Boards
How can boards of trustees become champions of civic preparation for their campus communities? This expert-led conversation will focus on bringing key volunteer leaders and donors into the coalition of the willing.
For the two ad hoc dates, we’ll also count on you to let us know what topics might be useful as the year takes shape. These sessions are always thought-provoking and generative, primarily because you as leaders drive them and because we have promised each other that these will be genuine, candid working sessions.
