Activation Plan
Below is an overview of some campus activities:
- The Institute of American Civics Civic Leadership Lecture Series brings leading scholars and journalists to campus to discuss freedom of speech, the American dream, and polarization.
- The Institute of American Civics conducts a Local Government Intern program and Fellows Program that allows students to attend city council, county commission, planning commission, and school board meetings.
- In the fall of 2024, the Institute is launching two certificate programs: the American Civics Certificate and the Constitutional Studies Certificate, in addition to a minor in American Civics.
- The new Tocqueville Scholars Program will prepare students to become civic leaders in government, law, business, and public affairs.
