- The Karsh Institute of Democracy’s Talking Across Difference initiative includes events, programs, research, classes, and other opportunities at the University of Virginia to foster open dialogue among people with varying backgrounds, opinions, and perspectives. Ongoing events include Talking Across Difference Student Dinners, Democracy Dialogues expert series, and Deliberative Dialogue Workshops.
- UVA continues to use the Statement of Free Expression and Free Inquiry as a framework to help its community understand and protect free speech rights.
