Activation Plan

Below is an overview of some campus activities:

  • Goshen College’s core curriculum (The Goshen Core) is designed around five core values; “global citizenship” is one of those values. The first-year seminar experience (Core 100), “Identity, Culture and Community,” is designed around the question: “How do people with diverse identities engage together in a vibrant community?”
  • The college’s annual lecture series includes two endowed lectures devoted to issues of conflict and peacemaking.
  • For the 2024-2025 academic year, the president’s opening convocation speech will be about “Conflict, Community and Creativity.” President Stoltzfus will also host a workshop for all teaching and administrative faculty on how to prepare for a year of conflict and creativity.
