- American University is engaged in several efforts designed to build and practice the skill of civil discourse among students, alums, partners, and communities. These programs are tailored to build, practice, and share skills. The programs include the Project on Civic Dialogue, Lincoln Scholars, and dinner salon series through the School of Public Affairs and the Sine Institute for Policy and Politics.
- American University is launching a comprehensive, year-long initiative (Civics AU) designed to empower students, staff, faculty, alumni, and community members to strengthen their civic education and build their “civic muscles.” This innovative program offers a diverse set of trainings and educational activities aimed at fostering a deeper understanding and active participation in civic life.
