Gettysburg College Kicks Off Conversations for Change Initiative

Gettysburg College launched its year-long “Conversations for Change” initiative this fall. Raj Vinnakota, President of Citizens & Scholars, served as the keynote speaker for the initiative’s kickoff. He addressed an audience of over 700 first-year students, emphasizing how civil discourse is essential for a healthy democracy and a crucial skill for success in campus life, the workplace, and our communities. Following his speech, there was a civil discourse exercise involving Raj and the leaders of both the Gettysburg College Republicans and Democrats. The event concluded with a moderated Q&A session with the students.
