AEI’s Restoring Free Inquiry & Civility in Higher Education Webinar

College Presidents for Civic Preparedness is a commitment by a diverse group of college presidents to recenter critical inquiry and civic discourse on their campuses.

Two member presidents, DePauw University President Lori S. White, and James Madison University President Jonathan Alger, joined Institute for Citizens & Scholars President Raj Vinnakota for a discussion hosted by Frederick M. Hess, Director of Education Policy Studies at the American Enterprise Institute. Their wide-ranging conversation touched on free speech, ways to equip students with civic skills and how to prepare faculty to facilitate deliberative debate in their classrooms.
