Tohono O’odham Community College

The Grow Your Own Educators initiative at Tohono O’odham Community College prepares students to become teachers who return home to serve their own communities. Through partnerships that support students from associate degrees through teacher preparation programs, the initiative creates pathways for Indigenous educators to teach in local schools. By investing in community-rooted leadership, the college strengthens educational opportunities for Tohono O’odham youth while helping ensure students see themselves reflected in the classroom.
