The Heat and Health Design Action Lab at Haverford College brings students, faculty, artists, and community partners together to address the growing impacts of extreme heat through collaborative research and creative problem-solving. Working alongside organizations such as the North Philadelphia Peace Park, students co-develop community-informed resources and projects that promote climate resilience, public health, and environmental justice. By combining ethical inquiry with community partnership, the initiative prepares students to turn research into action while supporting communities most affected by climate change.
