Through Claremont McKenna College’s Rose Institute of State and Local Government, students work alongside faculty to produce independent, nonpartisan research that helps communities across Southern California address real public challenges. From housing affordability and local elections to governance and economic development, the Institute provides local leaders with data and policy insights that support informed decision-making. By connecting students with the issues shaping their own communities, the Rose Institute demonstrates how higher education can strengthen local government while preparing students to become thoughtful, engaged public leaders.
